A vision from 2020, finally turned into reality this year, Assault Sports Promotion has been at the forefront of elite boxing training and promotion. What started as a small training facility has evolved into a championship-caliber academy producing professional boxers, amateur champions, and fitness enthusiasts. Our mission is simple: provide world-class boxing training that transforms lives, builds champions, and creates a community of dedicated athletes committed to excellence.
Mahavir Singh (Mentor)
Mahavir Singh is one of India’s most respected boxing coaches, known for his dedication, discipline, and deep understanding of the sport. Beginning his journey as a competitive boxer, he participated in various open boxing tournaments across India, where he developed a strong technical foundation and passion for the sport. After his active boxing career, Mahavir Singh transitioned into coaching and quickly established himself as a skilled mentor committed to developing young talent. Through years of hard work, experience, and continuous learning, he achieved the prestigious 3-Star Coach certification from International Boxing Association, one of the highest international coaching qualifications in boxing. In recognition of his exceptional contribution to Indian boxing and his success in training athletes at national and international levels, Mahavir Singh was honored with the prestigious Dronacharya Award, India’s highest award for sports coaches. Known for his disciplined training methods, technical expertise, and commitment to athlete development, Mahavir Singh has played a significant role in shaping the careers of many boxers. His coaching philosophy focuses not only on physical strength and technique but also on mental toughness, sportsmanship, and dedication. Today, Mahavir Singh continues to contribute to the growth of boxing in India, inspiring the next generation of athletes and coaches while promoting the values of hard work, perseverance, and excellence in the sport.
Naveen Rao (Director & Manager )
Naveen Rao is a former Indian boxer who has built a respected reputation through his dedication, achievements, and passion for the sport of boxing. Throughout his competitive career, he represented his region and country in several prestigious boxing tournaments. Naveen had the honor of participating in the AIBA World Boxing Championships held in South Korea, gaining valuable international experience. He also achieved a Gold Medal at the YMCA International Boxing Championship, demonstrating his talent and determination at the international level. At the national level, Naveen won a Gold Medal at the All India Chandiwala Boxing Championship, one of India’s well-known boxing tournaments. He dominated state competitions as well, winning seven Gold Medals at the Delhi State Boxing Championship. In addition, he represented his state five times at the Indian National Boxing Championship, reflecting his consistency and commitment to the sport. After an accomplished boxing career, Naveen Rao has now begun a new journey outside the ring. He currently serves as Director and Manager of a Sports Promotion Company, where he focuses on promoting boxing and creating opportunities for young and talented Indian boxers. His mission is to support the next generation of athletes and contribute to the growth of boxing in India. Through his experience as a boxer and his leadership in sports promotion, Naveen continues to play an important role in shaping the future of Indian boxing.
Tarun kumar Chawriya (CEO, Manager, MatchMaker)
Tarun Chawriya is a passionate sports enthusiast who has been actively involved in multiple sports from an early age, including boxing, cricket, and swimming. His deep love and respect for sports inspired him to dedicate his life to supporting athletes and promoting sporting opportunities for the next generation. Understanding the challenges many talented athletes face, especially those from financially weaker backgrounds, Tarun Chawriya has taken a significant step by establishing a sports promotion company along with friends who also come from strong sports backgrounds. Their shared mission is to create opportunities, provide guidance, and support young athletes in achieving their dreams in the world of sports. As the CEO, Manager, and Matchmaker of the company, Tarun focuses on identifying young talent, organizing matches and events, and building platforms where aspiring athletes can showcase their abilities. His vision is to help talented youth overcome financial and structural barriers and give them the support they need to reach their full potential. With dedication, experience, and a strong commitment to sports development, Tarun Chawriya continues to work towards building a brighter future for young athletes and contributing to the growth of sports at the grassroots level.
Sumit Saharan (Director, Promoter)
Sumit Saharan Stated career in Amateur boxing since school had been selected in government organised tournaments From the boxing rings of India to the world of sports promotion, his journey is built on passion, perseverance, and an unbreakable love for the sport. A former amateur boxer, he spent years competing in open boxing tournaments across India. Known for his determination and fighting spirit, he stepped into the ring not just to win matches but to challenge himself and grow as an athlete. Boxing was never just a sport for him—it was a way of life that taught him discipline, resilience, and respect. Throughout his competitive career, he gained valuable experience by participating in numerous open tournaments, facing tough opponents and learning the true meaning of sportsmanship. Those years inside the ring shaped his character and deepened his connection to the boxing community. Even after stepping away from active competition, his passion for boxing never faded. Instead of leaving the sport behind, he decided to contribute in a new and meaningful way. As a sports promoter, he focuses on building platforms where emerging fighters can showcase their skills, gain exposure, and pursue their dreams. He believes that with the right support and promotion, many Indian athletes can reach national and international stages. Today, he continues to serve the sport he loves—this time outside the ring—working to grow boxing and other combat sports while inspiring the next generation of fighters. His journey proves that while a fighter may step out of the ring, the fighting spirit never leaves.
